Technique/Moving Up Workshop
Saturday 14 August from 3:30 – 5:30pm
Petone Central School, 16 Britannia St, Petone
This Workshop will take you through techniques that will help you take your dancing to the next level. It will provide the important transition from Beginner dancing to Intermediate and higher level dancing, and will give you the firm foundations to constantly enhance your dancing skill and repertoire.
A must do for those of you who:
• have attended ten or more Beginner lessons and are ready for more
• wish to start coming along to Intermediate classes
• have recently joined Intermediate classes
• who have never attended one of these workshops before.
This fun and entertaining workshop will help those moves you know, and then some you don’t, to flow during freestyle. Step out on that dance floor with renewed confidence and feel great. All attendees need to be familiar with the 21 Beginner moves.
Our fabulous Peter Williams and Jenni Collingwood will be running this workshop. With two instructors you will get twice the experience and hear from both gender perspectives!
Cost is just $30 per person, or $55 for a man and lady booking together. Be in quick, spaces will be limited. If you have been to a previous Moving Up Workshop with us, you are invited to attend this one on 14 August as a refresher, at the discounted rate of $10 per person or $15 for a man and lady booking together. It is always beneficial to refresh ourselves with techniques that will stand us in good stead for all of our future dancing. Bookings and payments must be received by Friday 13 August. Come and see us at the front desk at class to register, or flick us an email if you will not be at class between now and then.

Ceroc Wellington Prom Night Dance Party

We all love to dress up so get your best dresses out for Prom Night! Be whisked away on the dance floor by handsome men and beautiful ladies. You are welcome to not dress up in costume but simply turn up in your favourite dance party clothes. The cost is $20 on the door. Supper is included but please BYO drinks. The Simply Ceroc Weekend
Labour Weekend 22-25 October 2010
Due to popular demand the Hot n Spicy workshop is back with all new moves! Add heat to slinky latin tunes and spice to chilled blues tunes... This workshop will cover closer moves which will show you how to be intimate but not sleazy. A workshop for people who want to be intimate with the music as well as their partners!
The workshop is ideal for intermediate level and above dancers and is being taught by Adam and Rewa. Adam is one of the most experienced Ceroc teachers in the world, teaching regularly in NZ, the UK and Australia , and known mostly for his contribution to musicality and blues. Rewa has been dancing for many years and appeared with Adam at the Simply Ceroc Weekend last year in the very popular first Hot‘n'Spicy workshop. Her strong ballet background complements her smooth sultry style.

Taranaki Champs in New Plymouth

It's that time again! November is rolling around fast and there's nothing like an early reminder to get you ready for another year of Ceroc Champs in the land of Taranaki! All the usual freestyle, fun and team events will be running, and this year the 45+ and Under 20 sections are to be added.
Heats will begin around 12:00pm with a dinner break at 6:00pm, ready to start the finals at 7:00pm. Competitor's tickets $60 including supper.
Registration forms, rules and information will be online from 31st August - but start getting organised now; the champs are the same weekend as the ‘Taranaki Around the Mountain Cycle Challenge’, so accommodation is likely to get snapped up fast.
