Technique/Moving Up Workshop Saturday 14 August from 3:30 – 5:30pm Petone Central School, Britannia Street, Petone
This Workshop will take you through techniques that will help you take your dancing to the next level. It will provide the important transition from Beginner dancing to Intermediate and higher level dancing, and will give you the firm foundations to constantly enhance your dancing skill and repertoire.
A must do for those of you who:
• have attended ten or more Beginner lessons and are ready for more
• wish to start coming along to Intermediate classes
• have recently joined Intermediate classes
• who have never attended one of these workshops before.
This fun and entertaining workshop will help those moves you know, and then some you don’t, to flow during freestyle. Step out on that dance floor with renewed confidence and feel great. All attendees need to be familiar with the 21 Beginner moves.
Our fabulous Peter Williams and Jenni Collingwood will be running this workshop. With two instructors you will get twice the experience and hear from both gender perspectives!
Cost is just $30 per person, or $55 for a man and lady booking together. Be in quick, spaces will be limited. If you have been to a previous Moving Up Workshop with us, you are invited to attend this one on 14 August as a refresher, at the discounted rate of $10 per person or $15 for a man and lady booking together. It is always beneficial to refresh ourselves with techniques that will stand us in good stead for all of our future dancing. Bookings and payments must be received by Friday 13 August. East and South Champs 2010 in Auckland Saturday 4 September TICKETS HAVE NOW SOLD OUT
Rob Pearce from East & South has a waiting list for tickets. So anyone who wants to be on the list should email Rob as soon as possible: rob@dancer.co.nz A few categories are now completely full and many others have to be limited so get your competitor entries in NOW! This year is going to be the biggest comp seen in Ceroc NZ.
There will be a Friday night mixer at the Onehunga RSA before the champs. This will include for the first time at the E&S Champs a Ceroc X competition for which the Finals will be held on the Saturday. The Simply Ceroc Weekend Labour Weekend 22-25 October 2010
The Simply Ceroc Weekend is an annual get-together in Wellington at Labour Weekend where social dances are held every night and workshops during the days, culminating in a Ball on Sunday evening. With over 35 hours of dancing and over 400 people attending, it is one of the most varied and popular weekends in the Ceroc calendar.
This year Jordan Frisbee and Tatiana Mollman, are going to be coming along to the event to perform and teach workshops! [The Jordan and Tatiana workshops are now sold out!]
There is also Ceroc Signature Moves and Latin style workshops taught by Vanroe and Naomi from Ceroc Counties, Hot n Spicy and Styling workshops from Adam from Ceroc Wellington and Lifts and Aerials workshops from Catherine and Royce from [your very own!] Ceroc Kapi-Hutt. All these teachers are extremely experienced, have won multiple competitions and are very popular all over NZ.

Taranaki Champs in New Plymouth Saturday 13 November 2010
It's that time again! November is rolling around fast and there's nothing like an early reminder to get you ready for another year of Ceroc Champs in the land of Taranaki ! East and South Champs are less than 2 months away, and what will happen after that? Don't waste those hours of competition training – head up the line and strut your stuff at the Taranaki champs too! All the usual freestyle, fun and team events will be running, and the 45+ and Under 20 sections will be added in this year too. Same fantastic venue as last year (Bell Block Hall), on Saturday 13th November. Heats will begin around 12:00pm with a dinner break at 6:00pm, ready to start the finals at 7:00pm. Competitor's tickets $60 including supper.
Registration forms, rules and information will be online from 31st August - but start getting organised now; the champs are the same weekend as the "Taranaki Around the Mountain Cycle Challenge", accommodation will get snapped up fast.
